Dwight Lewis Weber, 83, of Topeka died unexpectedly on February 1, 2023 at a Topeka Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1939 in Melvern, KS to Lewis & Mildred (Slingsby) Weber. Dwight graduated from Washburn Rural High School. Following graduation, he traveled to Florida, and then on to Colorado, where he became a licensed pipe fitter. He would tell stories about working at NORAD in Colorado Springs. Later, Dwight moved to Texas to continue work as a pipe fitter, and also found a place in law enforcement. Although he worked many different jobs at once, he returned to Kansas. His favorite was working at Kickstart Bar, and hanging out with his nephews – Steve, Kenny, and Doug Gray. Family was very important to Dwight. He was a true gentleman.
Preceding Dwight in passing are his parents, and Nephew, Logan Smith. Dwight will be missed very much by his wife, Jeraldine; and is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Gray & Ella May Smith; two stepdaughters, Heather Blanchette(Kurt), & Carrie Pavlick(Sean); four nephews, Steve Gray, Kenny Gray(Jann) Doug Gray, & Calvin Smith; Two Nieces, Jana Britto(Luke) & Jackie Rangel(Felipe), and Five Step Grandchildren, Kelsey(Adam), & Forrest Blanchette(Autumn), Adriona, Chloé, & Aliciá Pavlick and many great nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 18
th
, at 1:00pm at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS, 66606. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon at Oakland United Methodist Church, 801 N. Chester Avenue, Topeka. A livestream of the service can be found
