OBITUARY: Dwight Eugene Crouse
Dwight Eugene Crouse, 85, of Silver Lake, died Sun., March 27, 2011, at his home. He was born March 23, 1926, at Lebo, the son of Will J. and Gladys M. (Henery) Crouse. He farmed at Silver Lake and was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church. He was married to Elsie E. Wright on Aug. 5, 1945. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter: Carolyn J. Brandenburg of Topeka; 2 sons: Marlin D. and wife, Penny L., Crouse of Topeka, and Will R. and wife, Barbara Crouse of Gilbert, AZ; a sister: Almo Lewis of Burlington; a brother: Donald and wife, Wilma Crouse of Prairie Village; 8 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marilyn Crouse. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Sat., April 2, 2011, at Silver Lake United Methodist Church. Interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Grove. Dwight will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
