Dueward Aldean Constant
Dueward Aldean Constant, 86, Topeka, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Grant City, Mo., to Frank and Ethel Wineinger Constant. Mr. Constant farmed in northeast Kansas for 65 years. He married Josephine C. Simecka on July 8, 1937, in Delia. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Marlin Constant and Jody Constant, both of Topeka; three daughters, Madalene Golden and Ethelene "Rusty" Rakestraw, both of Topeka, and Kathy Molz, Wichita; a sister, Mary Saia, Topeka; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Prairie Home Cemetery. Mr. Constant will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary, where family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of America Hospice, 3715 S.W. 29th, Suite 20, Topeka, 66614, or donors choice.
