Dorothy M. Pearson, 94, Topeka, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 31, 2005 at Aldersgate Village. She was born Oct. 17, 1910 in Skiddy, Kansas, the daughter of Charles A. and Helen Esther Pateman Willes.
Dorothy worked for Sears Robbuck and Company in Los Angeles, California, until she retired in 1972. After she retired she moved to Weiser, Idaho prior to returning to Topeka in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and son in law, Jackie and Buddy Banks; a brother, Bert Willes; three sisters, Midge Miller, Lucille Boles and Doris Blow
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Jo Stout and husband Jack , Santa Ana, CA; two sisters, Marian Korup, Topeka; Virginia Caudill, Chino, CA; two brothers, Lloyd Willes and wife Mary, Dean Willes and wife Lois, both of Topeka; grandchildren, Greg and Andrea Daley, Topeka; Rick and Kitty Muller, Topeka; Debbie Carter and Riley Banks, California; Rick and Judy Stout, California; Brad and Diane Stout, Tennessee; Karen Barrickman, Oregon; eleven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005 at Rochester Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearson will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
