Dorothy Mae Streeter, 95, of Alvin, TX, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 in a La Marque, TX care facility. She was born October 30, 1915 in Ransom, KS, the daughter of Roy W. Davis and Clara E. Mitchell. She resided in Topeka until 2002 before moving to Texas to be near her family. She was employed in the food industry for many years.
Dorothy married Eligha W. Streeter in 1933. He preceded her in death in December of 1952. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette Moore and her son, Kenneth Streeter. Survivors include her daughter, Patty L. Guedin of Santa Fe, TX, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, Kansas 66506. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
