Dorothy L. Bracken, 83, Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at a local hospital.
Dorothy was born December 28, 1929 in Topeka, the daughter of Art and Catherine Carder.
She was employed as a manager with Howard Johnsons and later at Aldersgate Village.
Survivors include sons, Alfred "David" Bracken, Morgan H. Bracken, both of Topeka; daughter, Christine Minyard, Cedar Park, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Gary L. Bracken; grandson, Wesley Sorrells; brother, Junior Carder; and sister, Gwen Angel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Dorothy will lie in state at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. on Monday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
