Doris Marie Treiber

Doris Marie Treiber, 84, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on August 20th, 2023 at Midland Hospice. She was born on August 24th, 1938 to Henry & Ruth (Miller) Frame in Eureka, Kansas. On November 11th, 1955, Doris married Harold Riner. Together, they had four children. They later divorced. On April 25th, 1980 Doris married Kenneth Treiber in California. Doris worked as a printing press operator in California and attended college at College of the Sequoias. They later moved to Missouri after retirement. In 2021, Doris moved to Topeka, Kansas to be closer to her children.

Doris enjoyed quilting, gardening, raising and showing dogs, and spending time with family.

Preceding Doris in passing are her parents, brother, Gene Frame, and a brother in-law, Ray Burns. Doris is survived by her children, Susan (Bill) Kritikos of Lyndon, Kansas; Mike (Nancy) Riner of Wichita, Kansas; Karen Riner of Topeka, Kansas; and Laura (Jim) Smith of Topeka, Kansas. Doris leaves behind her husband, Kenneth Treiber of Gainesville, Missouri. Three siblings survive Doris: Lynn (Carolyn) Frame of Tyler, Texas; Marian Burns of Silver Lake, Kansas; and Phil (Dodie) Frame of Wellington, Kansas. Doris also leaves behind four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, August 24th at First United Methodist Church, 600 SW Topeka Blvd. Memorial Contributions can be made to Midland Hospice Care or First United Methodist Church.
