Doris Shirley Juneau, 89, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012.
She was born October 10, 1922 in Beardstown, IL, the daughter of William Guy and Helen (Ashcraft) Winston. She was a graduate of Clark High School, Hammond, IN.
Mrs. Juneau retired from Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.
She was a certified Genealogist and was a member of the Topeka Genealogical Society.
Doris married Edward William Juneau on June 12, 1943 at Hammond, IN. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1967. Survivors include three children, Sherryl K. (LaVon) Schick, Carbondale, William G. (Gwen) Juneau, Overland Park, KS and Paul W. (Kathy) Juneau, McKinney, TX; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Winston, Hammond, IN; a sister, Gene Watkins, Claymore, OK and a sister-in-law, Agnes Winston, Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Winston.
A graveside ceremony and interment of her cremated remains will be 1 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Rochester Cemetery, Topeka. A memorial ceremony will follow at 1:30 p.m., at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. The family will receive friends following the memorial ceremony at the Penwell-Gabel Family Center.
