OBITUARY: Doris Jane Sabo

Doris Jane Sabo, 72, Topeka, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her home. Doris was born May 29, 1935, in Arrington, KS. She spent most of her childhood in Arrington with her parents and five brothers and sisters. She attended Atchison County Community High School and graduated in 1953. After marrying Roy Sabo she spent many years traveling with the Air Force. She enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, arts and crafts, reading, following KU sports, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Roland; mother, Lucille; husband, Roy; sister, Helen; and daughter, Janelle. She is survived by her son, Scott Sabo; daughter-in-law, Katie; grandchildren: Ryan, Chloe, and Reese Sabo; son-in-law, Dan Dunsford; grandchildren: Laura and Jill Dunsford; sisters: Judy Hedden and Cora Rathert; brothers: Gene Abramson and wife, Guyla, and Charles Abramson and wife, Helen; nieces; nephews; cousins; and extended family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 21, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Committal services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Larkinburg Cemetery in Larkinburg.
