Doris Mildred Brandt

Doris M. Brandt, age 90, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 02, 2018 at Lexington Park Skilled Nursing in Topeka. Doris was born March 31, 1928 in Davis City, Iowa the daughter of Jeremiah and Florence McNelly Warren. Doris graduated from Kinsley High School. She married Paul Raymond Brandt July 9, 1961 in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death November 15, 2001. Doris operated a day care out of her home from 1962 – 1990. She attended Southwest Church of Christ. She was a member of the Navy Mothers and assisted with Boy Scouts.

She is survived by a son, Ron (Joanne) Brandt of Topeka; two daughters, Diane (Clifford) Funk of Meriden and Paulee (Jim) Bowin of Clearwater, Florida; 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens. She will lie in state from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
