Doreen J. Hudkins Stone, 91, of Topeka, KS passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023.
She was born January 30, 1932 in Delia, KS. The daughter of Charley and Viola (Keller) Kovar.
She was a member of Seaman Congregational Church and a member of Helena Chapter #210 Order of the Eastern Star.
Doreen married Florris C. "Bud" Hudkins on August 5, 1950. He preceded her in death. To this union, were three sons, Kenneth Hudkins who passed in 1950, Steven and Ricky.
Doreen later married James E. Stone on July 28, 1986. He preceded her in death.
Doreen was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves behind two sons, Steven (Zona) Hudkins and Ricky (Janet) Hudkins both of Topeka, KS; sisters, Bertha Dunn of Wyoming, Grace Tureene of Big Lake, MN, and Peggy Spencer of Topeka, KS; brother, Philip (Deanne) Kovar of St. Marys, KS; three grandchildren, Michelle (David) Ellis of Lantana, TX, Tricia (Corey) Dehn and Darci (Steven) Perez both of Topeka, KS; five great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Topeka, KS 66604. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
