Donna (Sissy, as her sisters called her) went to Holiday Junior High school and was a dedicated member of the First Assembly of God church all her life from the first church built at 610 Lime that her grandpa Abraham Coffman helped with, to the present Topeka church.
Donna met Robert Reaka through church members and married January 20th, 1958. They lived in Pollock Pines California then moved back to Kansas where they lived in Cottonwood Falls, and near Allen Ks before they settled back in Topeka where most of the Longstaff and Coffman families lived.
In her early years Donna worked at Duckwalls in Eastboro shopping center and was a retired State of Kansas employee with the Kansas Corporation Commission.
In addition to her career and church involvement, Donna enjoyed painting, singing, playing the organ, and helping those around her.
Donna was known for her caring and selfless nature. Her greatest joy was being there for others, spoiling her grandchildren, and sharing her wisdom with all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and remembered as the best mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and neighbor.
Donna is survived by her sisters Linda and Valorie of Topeka, son Terry of Orange County CA, five grandchildren - Casey, Brandon, Nichole, Paul, Mindy, and six great-grandchildren with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Robert, her daughter Tammy, and both of her parents.
In place of flowers, donations to Helping Hands Humane Society (HHHS) are recommended to honor Donna's legacy and her love for animals.
