Donna M. Miller

Donna M. Miller, 62, Topeka, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Stormont-Vail HealthCare Center. She was born Aug. 11, 1941, in San Francisco, the daughter of Don Long and Floyd and Ella M. (Kenny) Vilvens. Donna graduated from Topeka High School. She worked for K-Mart as a supervisor for 25 years. She married Thunie C. Miller on Aug. 22, 1989, in Topeka. He survives. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a son, Karlan Friesen; and a granddaughter, Kyla Rae Shaver. Other survivors are: a son LeRoy Friesen, of Topeka, and four daughters, Rhonda Shaver, Lauraine Pritchard and Kandy Yates, all of Topeka, and LaDona Reid of Carthage, Mo; her stepfather, Floyd Vilvens, Topeka; a brother, Robert Long, Topeka; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Miller will lie in state after 2 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial con tributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W.
