Donna Lou Richard

Donna Lou Richard, 77, of Topeka, was received into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 21, 2011 at a Topeka hospital. She was born July 19, 1934 in Horton, the daughter of Thomas and Gladys "Irene" Reece Jacobson.

Donna graduated from Horton High School in 1952. After graduating from high school, she moved to Topeka. She was employed in retail sales for several years.

Donna married Gerald Beran on February 6, 1955 in Horton. He preceded her in death. She married Michael Shull on March 23, 1962 in Topeka. They later divorced. Donna later married Dale Richard. They divorced. Survivors include one daughter, Laura (Stanley) Hart of Carbondale, two grandchildren, Courtney and Dakota, and her siblings, Carol Larson Jacobson and Sam Jacobson. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Beran in January, 2007.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Golden Living Center of Eskridge, 505 N. Main St., Eskridge, KS 66423. Private interment will take place in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery near Horton. Donna will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Gideons International, Box 12, Osage City, KS 66523 or to Golden Living Center of Eskridge.
