Donald B. Thomas, 75, Topeka, entered into rest on Friday, December 14, 2007 surrounded by his family.
Don was born on August 9, 1932 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of Donald and Elizabeth Brown Thomas.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Electrician.
Don married Dorothy Mae Anderson on March 31, 1955 in Topeka, KS. She preceded him in death on September 12, 1984. He remarried Patricia Ann Figgins on August 31, 1992. She survives.
Don retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he worked as an electrician.
He was a proud member of The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. His adventures included packing up in the spur of the moment and traveling to Florida to watch the space shuttle launches. He was also an avid Ham Radio Operator.
Survivors include one son, Scott Thomas of MS; three daughters, Sharon Kiernan, Janet Wuerflein and Alicia Beavers of Topeka; two brothers, Jim Thomas of MS and Rod Thomas of IN; four step-daughters; one step-son; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Central Park Christian Church, 1535 SW Clay, Topeka. A reception will be held following the service at 1:30 p.m. at the church where family and friends can meet.
