Donald E. "Buger" Powell

Donald “Buger” E. Powell, age 82, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home in Topeka. Don was born October 16, 1936 in Corvallis, Oregon the son of Edgar and Bernice Hayes Powell. Don married Patricia McGee June 20, 1956 in Yuma, Arizona. While in California, Don and Patricia attended the Latter-day Saints Church. Don retired from Santa Fe Railroad in 1997 after 30 years. Don was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Cali Savard. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Patricia Powell of Topeka; a son, Terry (Theresa ) Powell of Ohio; two daughters, Janet (Melvin) Martin of California and Donna (Lewis) Brown of Topeka; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Don loved fishing and building his RV bus. Don and Patricia enjoyed traveling to Mexico.

Visitation will be Monday evening, November 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation. davidsonfuneral.com.
