Donald Mowry

Donald E. Mowry, 69, of Topeka passed away at his home on Saturday, September 3, 2022.   He was born October 14, 1952 in Cortland, New York the son of Donald E. Mowry and Rose Drake.  Don was raised in New York and later joined the Army.  Don was stationed in Alaska while in the service.   He moved to Florida and worked as a truck driver for Pan Am Airlines.  He moved to Topeka in 1994.  He continued his lifelong occupation working in the trucking industry.   He was married to Cindy Adair in 1995.   He enjoyed spending time with his family at Christmas, working and restoring vintage cars; music, his two favorite songs were Spirit In The Sky and Just As I Am.   Don liked pizza.

He is survived by his companion Cindy Adair; mother, Rose Alyesworth in New York; children, Justin and Kim in Florida, Crystal in Topeka and Jason in Arizona.   He is also survived by three sisters and seven brothers; as well as seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister; and a grandchild.

Don choose to donate his earthly body to the University of Kansas School of Medecine.
