Donald "Don" W. Mock, Jr., 71, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020.
He was born June 15, 1949, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Donald and Evelyn (Wohlford) Mock. He received a High School Diploma from Hayden High School.
He served in the United States Air Force as an Analog Flight Simulator Specialist. He was honorably discharged in May 1979. Don was proud of his service to his country.
After being discharged from the service, Don worked for the United States Postal Service. He later retired.
Don enjoyed riding motorcycles in younger days. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, and listening to various Talk Radio or Public Broadcast series. Snoopy and Trixie, his beloved pets, were also a big part of his life.
Donald married Ethel Hards on November 4, 1992 in Topeka, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Roger (Sherri) Calderwood and Gary (Ashley Dempewolfe) Cullens; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his siblings, John (Lois) Mock, Larry (Verna Jackson) Mock, Steve (Kay) Mock, Carolyn (Ron) Bova and Marcy (Jim) Farthing. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Mock.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A graveside service with military honors will follow the funeral service at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, Topeka, Kansas.
