Dixie Ruth Pruett

Dixie Ruth Pruett, age 79, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 in Topeka. Dixie was born March 13, 1940 in Dubois County, Indiana the daughter of John and Margaret (Wineinger) Yokem. Dixie graduated from Jasper High School in Indiana. Dixie served in the U.S. Army and worked in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. After being discharged, she worked for Western Electric Telephone Company. She married Ronald Pruett July 13, 1963 in Indianapolis. Dixie and Ron were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Topeka. Dixie served as the director of the Family History Center in Topeka. Dixie is survived by her husband Ron of over 56 years; two sons, David Pruett of Arizona and Patrick Pruett of Topeka; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan and Hailey.

Memorial services will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2401 SW Kingsrow, Topeka. davidsonfuneral.com
