Dixie L. Flott

Dixie L. Flott (79) of Topeka, KS passed  away peacefully on January 23, 2019 in Topeka. Dixie was born on July 19, 1939 in Topeka, KS to Walter and Myrtle Wettengel. She grew up in the Oakland area of Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1957. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Robert Parman and Pediatrics PA for 26 years until 1998 when she retired due to illness. Dixie was a member of the First Congregational Church where she sang in the choir and was active in a number of committees and first nighters. Dixie married James Flott in 1986. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Helen Morris and brother, Gary "Tom" Wettengel. Dixie is survived by her husband James Flott of Topeka; her daughter Karla Novacek of Derby, KS; four stepsons Brian (Jennifer) Flott, Shawn (Rachel) Flott, Charles (Cindy) Ridder, all of Topeka and John (Joi) Ridder of Silver Lake, KS; a sister, Mary Grant Benbrook, Tx; two brothers, Ted (Lucy) Wettengel of Topeka and Bill (Brenda) Wettengel of Perry, KS; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Celebration of Life gathering for Dixie will be Saturday, February 9 ^th , 2019 at 2:00 -4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Day School C/O Seaman Community Church 2036 NW Taylor St, Topeka, KS 66608 and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
