Dilla Dean Morstorf
Dilla Dean Morstorf, 89, Topeka, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Midland Hospice House. She was born December 25, 1927, at Eskridge, the daughter of Carl and Lesta B. (Parmiter) Schultz.
She had lived at Berryton and Carbondale before moving to Topeka. Dilla graduated from Berryton High School in 1945.
Dilla was married to Russell O. Morstorf on June 17, 1945, at Berryton. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2008. She was also preceded in death by three children: Linda D. Morstorf in infancy, Dale E. Morstorf in 2010, Franklin C. Morstorf in 2017; and two brothers: Arnold Schultz and Harley Schultz.
Surviving are two children: Russell Dean Morstorf (Carol) of Topeka and Loretta Kay Brown (Byron, Jr.) of Topeka; a daughter-in-law: Joyce Morstorf of Rock Creek; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka.
Dilla will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Monday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral chapel.
