Diana Mae Stone

Diana M. Stone, age 70, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.  Diana was born September 4, 1949 in Topeka, the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Bernard) Stone.  She graduated from Topeka West High School and then received a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University.  Diana worked for the State of Kansas as a social worker.  She was an active member of the Topeka Genealogy Society.  Diana is survived by three daughters, Chelsea (Jeff) Appenfeller of Topeka, Joy Renee Simpson of Topeka and Ruth Gooding of Topeka; loving companion Howard “Jim” Weaver, a brother, Jonpaul (Jackie) Stonehuerner of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Keighley Rose, Keyonna (Andrew) Tevis, Jacob Gooding, Keyton Hill, Gage Gooding, Emma Gooding and Karson Peterson; and three great grandchildren, Odin Tevis, Malena Rose and Satchel Tevis.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Lee Stone and Bernard Stone.

Graveside services will be Friday, April 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rochester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
