Diana L. Huntsman, 53, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 19, 2010.
She was born September 24, 1956 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of James E. and Helen I. (Daugherty) McDonald. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School.
She was employed by Hallmark Cards in Topeka.
Diana married Claude L. Myers in 1986. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Sean E. Huntsman and his wife, Stacey of Littleton, CO; her mother, Helen I. McDonald of Topeka; two step-grandchildren, Raychel and Whitney Johnson; her siblings, Patsy Darnell of DeFuniak Springs, FL, James E. McDonald, Jr and his wife, Janice of Osage City, KS, David W. McDonald of Topeka and Susan A. McDonald of Topeka; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Rebecca S. McDonald in 1985.
She enjoyed shopping, ceramics, gardening, traveling, drag racing, spending time with family and friends and was an avid member of the Alan Jackson Fan Club.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage, Topeka, KS 66604. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Mrs. Huntsman will lie in state after 3 p.m., Friday, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
