Dennis was an excellent guitar player and enjoyed sharing his music by performing at various venues, nursing homes and at the Elmont Opera for several years. He was also a dedicated member of Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), ABATE, and the Patriot Guard Riders.

Dennis will be remembered for going out of his way to make people laugh with his wonderful sense of humor, willingness to help anyone in need, and for doing a lot of good for a lot of people through his charity rides.

Dennis married Koren Garner in 1968, the two later divorced. On December 3, 2004, Dennis married Dianne Vandiver Olden in Topeka. She preceded him in death on September 6, 2017.
