Dennis R. Davis

Dennis R. Davis, age 74, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Plaza West Care Home in Topeka.  Dennis was born December 27, 1946 in Topeka the son of Phillip and Goldie (Hark) Davis.  Dennis graduated from Seaman High School and attended Washburn University.  He married Linda Shockey March 9, 1969.  They later divorced.  He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.  He worked at the Topeka Capital Journal as a pressman for over 30 years.  When Dennis was younger, he enjoyed playing the accordian.

He is survived by a son, Daryl Davis of Topeka; a daughter, Diana (Randy) Schmidt of Topeka; two brothers, John Davis of Topeka and Monte Davis of Abilene; a sister, Jerri Crump of Abilene; a granddaughter, Ashley Davis, and two great grandchildren, Harley and Michael.  He was preceded in death by a twin great granddaughter, Jaden.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Auburn Cemetery.  davidsonfuneral.com
