Delphia L. Thomas, 49, Topeka, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Thomas worked in inventory control at Payless ShoeSource for 28 years before retiring in 1999.
She was born Dec. 24, 1953, in Koshkonong, Mo., to John D. and Cora A. Harold Thomas. She attended Topeka schools and lived most of her life in Topeka.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Teamsters Local No. 696 and the Church of God of Prophecy.
She married Garry R. McPherson in Topeka. They were separated.
Survivors include a daughter, Misty L. McPherson, Topeka; her mother, Cora A. Thomas, Topeka; and four sisters, Linda S. Thomas, Bobbie Jamerson, Vicki Thomas and Debbie Thomas, all of Topeka.
Delphia Thomas Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas will lie in state at the mortuary after 3 p.m. today. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
