Deanna "Dee-zer" Moralez
Deanna "Dee-zer" Moralez , 62, of Topeka, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Topeka. She was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Harvey A. Striplin and Irene Jamieson Striplin. They preceded her in death. She was a waitress at Gammons Restaurant. She was a member of First Christian Church. She married Joe Moralez; they divorced. Survivors include four daughters, Carmen Tibbits, Tecumseh, Debi Moralez, Hutchinson, Marla Moralez-Franklin, Topeka, and Juanita Moralez, Topeka; a son, Joe Moralez, Topeka; two sisters and one brother, all of Hutchinson; and 12 grandchildren. Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to service time.
