Dean Lewis

Carl “Dean” Lewis, 82, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017. Dean was born on March 23, 1935 in Topeka, to Kelly and Josephine Lewis. For all Dean’s life he was an avid farmer and enjoyed hunting and his dogs. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1953.
Dean is survived by his wife Nancy Lewis of 60 years, a son Andrew Lewis of Topeka; daughters, Amy (Derek) Baltimore, of Burlison, Tennessee, Jessica (Lee) Horton of Topeka, and 2 other daughters; Granddaughter Karah Spearman, grandson Matthew Baltimore and five more grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, two sisters, and two grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to Devon's Promise, an organization that provides financial aid to families dealing with trauma associated with loss, in honor of his grandson Devon Spearman
