David Alan Whitt, 49, Topeka, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
Dave was born on Oct. 28, 1958, in Topeka, the son of Charles and Lavonne (Critchlow) Whitt.
Dave married, Debbie K. Ippolito on May 13, 1978. They later divorced in 2002.
He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber until 2003.
Dave is survived by one daughter, Leslie and husband, Mike Davis; a brother, Tim and wife, Barbie; 2 granddaughters: Mikayla and Maiya and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2008, at Mount Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence.
