David Sims Warner

David Sims Warner, age 75, of Hoyt, KS, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his home after a long illness.  David was born November 11, 1945 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England to Lorain “Dale” and Elizabeth (Sims) Warner.  He came to the United States with his mother at eight months.  Mrs. General George Patton was on the same plane and held him.  David graduated from Topeka West High School in 1963.  He went to work at the Santa Fe offices and worked there 10 years.  He was a salesman selling used cars, furniture and solar energy products.  He also remodeled houses.  David married Anne Williams July 25, 1975 in Topeka.  She survives.  David and Anne enjoyed traveling to dog shows.  They made many trips to Colorado and New Mexico. They raised and showed Great Pyrenees.  He was a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America.

David’s wishes were to be cremated.  Visitation gathering will be Sunday afternoon, October 10, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Pyrenees Club of America, and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS  66608.
