David Austin Tillman, 48, Topeka, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019.
He was born April 30, 1970, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of David and Marian (Ginter) Tillman. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1988 and earned his journeyman's license from IBEW Local 226.
In 2005, Dave began working at Burlington-Northern Santa Fe, Local 959, where he worked as an electrician in the traction motor shop.
Survivors include his four children: Austin David Lee, Braden Charles, Payton Lynn and Adelyn "Addie" Grace Tillman; three siblings: Kevin (Nancy) Bruton; Christina Balocca and Davy (Kevin) Green, all of Topeka and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, all from the Topeka area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, uncle, Mel and nephew, Michael.
Dave loved hot rod cars, especially his T-Bucket, a car that him and his father built together. He was an avid KU basketball and Dallas Cowboys fan. He had an infectious laugh and loved telling stories. He loved his kids and attending their activities. He was the loudest voice in the crowd win or lose. His kids meant the world to him.
Funeral services will be 10am, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
