David Saile

December 15, 1946 — February 4, 2022

David Joseph Saile, 75, of Topeka, passed away on February 4, 2022 at University of Kansas Health System - St. Francis Campus.

David was born on December 15, 1946 to Clifford and Rowena (Potter) Saile in Topeka, KS.
He graduated from Seaman High School in 1965.

David married Penny Wood on August 8, 1965. Together they had 2 children. They later divorced.
David married Wanda Gifford on March 30, 1974 in Waverly, Kansas. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2009.

David worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 32 years before retiring.

He loved to research his family background, he loved to scribe and work on genealogy. David enjoyed being outside fishing and camping. He also had a love for art and working on model trains. He was an avid coin collector that had a very impressive collection. David was a Scout Master for his sons Boy Scout group in his younger years. David was a helper. You could always find him lending his hand to anyone he saw in need. He helped his son work on his home repairs and his daughter and son-in-law to get to where they are today in life. He was a jolly loving soul that loved to laugh and joke around with anyone he met. His smile will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his children, Dawn (Tim) Hall and Travis Saile; grandchildren, Jennifer Lazo, Riley (Josh) Callahan, and Jordan Hall; great grandchild, Brantley Callahan; sister, Stacy (Charlie) Jones; and his best buddy, Rowdy The Cat.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, and both of his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, 10:00 am at the Parker-Price Funeral Home.

Graveside interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens .

Memorials are suggested to the CAT Association or to the Topeka Rescue Mission and sent in care of Parker Price Funeral Home. 245 NW Independence Ave. Topeka, Kansas 66608.
