David Michael Puff

Memorial services for David Michael Puff, 54, Topeka, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Graveside services will be in Prairie Home Cemetery immediately following the service. Mr. Puff died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, while at home with his loved ones. He was born May 24, 1949, in Topeka, the son of Charles "Dick" Puff and Iryllis "Dee" Gronquist-Puff. After serving in the U.S. Army he was employed by Santa Fe Burlington Northern Railroad as a freight carman for many years. David founded the Topeka Area Water Garden Society and volunteered for many water garden and garden projects around the Topeka area, including Ward-Meade Park. He was a member of the Topeka Area Water Garden Society, Topeka Council of Garden Clubs and International Brotherhood of Railway Carman. He married Ruth Ann Reser on July 4, 1968. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Dawn Puff, Topeka; and three grandchildren, Lori White, Brandon Brooks and Michael Dalsing, all of Topeka. Other survivors include his mother, Iryllis "Dee" Gronquist-Puff, Topeka; brothers, Richard A. Puff and Skip Puff, Topeka, and Jon K. Puff, Springfield, Mo., Robert L. Puff, Hernando, Miss., and James M. Puff and a sister, Alice Schimmel, Maple Hill; numerous nieces; nephews; and countless friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Dick" Puff.
