David Max Derby

David M. Derby, age 71, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Topeka. David was born August 14, 1946 in Baileyville, KS the son of George and Vera Johnstone Derby. Dave grew up in Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Mary Wabaunsee. They later divorced. He married Ann White. She passed away in 2001. David worked for Texaco in California for over 40 years. He lived in Topeka the last several years. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He is survived by two daughters, JoAnn (John) Letcher of Mayetta and Michelle Wabaunsee; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. davidsonfuneral.com.
