OBITUARY: David Charles James
David Charles James, 66, Topeka, died Fri., April 14, 2006, at his home. He was born July 26, 1939, at Libertyboro, PA the son of John Wilbur and Mary (Estochen) James.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol M. James, and a son, Lance K. James.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Lori Vega of Topeka and Lea Stroud of Overland Park; a son, Mark James of Topeka; a sister: Marlene Hackathorn of Lecompton; a brother John James of Katy, TX; 8 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wed., April 19, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Military Honors will be conducted by a Fort Riley U.S. Army Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66608-1809 or American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
