Darrell Finson

Darrell M. Finson, 90, of Topeka passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020.   He was born January 25, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Harold and Noma Runyan Finson.   He graduated from Seaman High School with the class of 1949.  Darrell served in the United States Air Force and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company during his career.

He was married to Patricia Ann Owen March 7, 1951 at Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death in October of 1993.   He married Mary Jo Williams on April 22, 1996.  Mary Jo survives.

Other survivors include four children, Sharon K. Harding (Gary), Cindy M. Halstead (Charles), Richard Finson and David Finson (Rochelle); several stepchildren, Charlene Estes (Dan), Colleen Williams and Nick Williams (Edie);  nine grandchildren, A.J. Finson, Cora Finson, Carrie Finson, Casey Harding, Cody Harding, Kelly Wright, Kim Jarrett, Derek Halstead, Darren Halstead, Jeremy Gruber, Andy Gruber, Tara Ross, Jesse Gergick, Jacob Williams and Brian Dietz and 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; his brother, Donald E. Finson and wife Pat.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Mark Williams.

Memorial graveside services will be held at Rochester Cemetery on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Hospice or to Berryton Baptist Church.   The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at the Norwich Unit at Aldersgate Village.
