Darrell Ray Colhouer

Darrell Ray Colhouer passed away on September 7, 2017. He was born January 30, 1938, in Hoyt, KS. His parents were Orville Colhouer and Inez Cunning Colhouer.

He owned and operated "Darrell's Service" for over 31 years.

He married the love of his life, Marilyn Kay Williams, in Frankfort, KS, on November 27, 1959. They had two sons: Kevin (Becky) and Brent (Stacy). He leaves five grandchildren: Melissa (Jeremy) Carter, Ashley Colhouer, Lance Colhouer, Kolton Colhouer and Kaylon Colhouer; two great-grandsons: Mason and Nixon Carter; one sister: Charlene Nesmith; many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Don and Tom.

He and his wife loved to travel, have visited all states, been on several cruises, have been overseas, loved the mountains and spent several summers camping and riding trails in Colorado and Utah. A couple of winters were spent in Texas.

His pride and joy were his sons and families. They were the light of his life.

He was an avid KU Jayhawk basketball fan. He and his wife attended over 25 Daytona Nascar Races.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 5-7 at Parker-Price.
