OBITUARY: Darrel Eugene Price

Darrel Eugene Price, 64, died Fri., Nov. 11, 2005 at his Hoyt home. He was born Jan. 3, 1941 at Topeka the son of Raymond Eugene and Helen Louise Price. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Coke.

Darrel was a self-employed auto-mechanic. He was a member of The Ol' Buzzards' Car Club.

Darrel and Leslie M. Salsbury were married June 30, 1973 at Topeka. She and his dog, "Bobo," survive at home.

Also surviving are a son: Jesse R. Price and his fiance, Katy of Topeka; a brother: Jude R. Price of Topeka; 4 sisters: Sheryl Lynn Price of Hoyt, Peggy R. Price of Holton, Janet Rusher of Hoyt, and Debbie Cook of Topeka; five nephews: Dusty, Steven, Kaleb, Darren, and Sam; four nieces: Kimberly, Courtney, Stacey, and Charlotte; and two great-nieces: Kacie and Karlie.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wed., Nov. 16, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery. Darrel will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
