Daniel Jackson

July 11, 1938 — August 29, 2020

Daniel E. Jackson, 82, of Topeka passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.   He was born July 11, 1938 in Topeka the son of Samuel and Isabell Carlson Jackson.   Daniel worked at Kent Brown Chevrolet and later Ed Bozarth as a mechanic.   He later worked at the auto service department at Walmart on Wanamaker Road until he retired.   He was a member of Countryside Christian Church, loved to fish, watch John Wayne western movies, have fun, pull pranks and joke around with his family.   He will be greatly missed by his Shih Tzu, “Asia”.

Daniel married Mary Lou Mann on March 1, 1958.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lou; son, Mike Jackson of Topeka; daughter-in-law, Crystal Jackson; nine grandchildren, Ashley Smith (Chris Smith), Samantha Hanson (James Hanson), Anthony Lee, Crystal E. Jackson, Christy Myrick (Darin Milligan), Dawn Brandenburg (Brian Brandenburg), Melissa Gonzalez (Pedro Gonzalez IV), Jeremy Deschner and Michael Deschner; and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Jackson; brother, Samuel Jackson; and two sisters, Barbara Gellings and Mary.

Funeral services will be held at Countryside Christian Church at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 3, 2020.   Interment will follow in Rochester Cemetery.   Face coverings and social distancing will be appreciated.
