"A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again." - Maya Angelou
Dana Le’Ann (Gabler) Meinhardt, age 59, of Topeka, KS, passed away on February 26, 2025. She was born to Janice and Robert Gabler on February 16, 1966, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dana was passionate about helping others from a very young age. Giving her lunch money or clothes to those with less than her; she was always ready to help and serve. With that compassionate caregiving spirit, as a young mother, she began her career as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) and continued her education by attaining her Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership, Master of Science in Nursing, with completion of her Psychiatric APRN/Nurse Practitioner in 2015. She was always expanding her education and setting her next goal to enable her to serve the community in a greater capacity.
She was a passionate gardener, she loved antiquing (finding as much as she could), and music. Dana played the piano and guitar in her early years and was always down for a dance party and sing-a-longs that brought on the biggest smile!
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and most importantly, a Nana to her grandkids, Abigail, Oliver, Ashton, Jaxson, and William, whom she adored. Her family was incredibly important to her, and she will be missed by all. Dana is survived by her loving and devoted husband Steven Meinhardt, daughter Ashley (Isaac) Brunell, parents Janice Baker and Robert (Marita) Gabler, siblings Kimberly (Jay) Mulvaney, Sadie (Kris) Gabler, Andrew Gabler and Jonathan Gabler (Jessica) and grandchildren, Abigail and Oliver Brunell, Ashton Johnson, Jaxson and William Martin, and first husband Joseph Martin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph A. Martin.
A visitation will be held on March 5, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, KS. Funeral services will be held on March 6, 2025, at 10:30 am at Parker-Price & Davidson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
