Dale S. Clifton

Dale S. Clifton, 84, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010. He was born Aug. 27, 1925 in Topeka the son of Roy N. Clifton and Hazel Haynes. He retired from Mayflower Moving in 1989, then worked part-time at J.M. Bauersfelds. He was married to Betty A. Clifton, she preceded him in death on Dec. 26, 2009. Survivors include his children Cynthia Denney, Olathe, Roy Norton, Norwalk, OH, Pamela Miller, Loretta Rogers, Tammy Fleming, and a sister Eunice Killiam all of Topeka, 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Cloise Clifton and Neal Clifton, a sister Ora Mae Dennis and a grandchild Angel A. Fleming. Funeral services will be Jan. 9, 2010 at 9:00 AM at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Clifton will lie in state after 3 PM, Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5-6 PM.
