Dale Ralph Sample
Dale Ralph Sample, 64, of Eudora, KS, died August 7, 2014. He was born January 31, 1950, in Topeka, KS, the son of Ralph and Grace Sample.
Dale graduated from Seaman High School and Washburn University, where he lettered in football. He taught and coached football at Perry-Lecompton, Seaman, and Silver Lake High Schools for over twenty-five years. He was principal at Eudora Middle and High Schools for 12 years, retiring in 2010.
Surviving are his wife, Jeannine; son, Kris of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Carol Smith and Judy Keegan of Topeka; and brother-in-law, Gayland Spaulding of Battle Creek, MI. He was preceded in death by son, Jason, and his parents.
Funeral services 11:00 AM, August 13, 2014, at Northland Christian Church, 3102 NW Topeka Blvd., Topeka. Interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka.
Dale will lie in state after 3:00 PM, August 12th, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dale Sample Eudora High School Memorial Fund c/o Eudora's Kaw Valley Bank, POB 712, Eudora, KS 66025.
