Dale Richard Casto, 81, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
He was born April 25, 1934 in St. George, Kansas, the son of Charles Clarence and Ida Minnie (Meyer) Casto.
Dale was a concrete finisher all his life, retiring in 2005.
Dale married Wilma Lou Porter on June 23, 1955 in Jewel, Iowa. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2010. Survivors include a son, Steven Casto, Silver Lake; a daughter, Debbie (Riley) Rees, Topeka; a grandson, Austin Cole Rees, Bonner Springs; and a sister, Darlene Van Pykeren, Lincoln, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Lillian, Chrystal, Gladys, Eunice and Wilma; and seven brothers, Marvin, Glenn, Harold, Cecil, Dewey, Gerald and Lloyd.
Dale enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandson, who he enjoyed attending and filming his Quarter Midget and Micro Mini Sprint races.
Honoring his request, Dale was cremated. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday June 3, 2015 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. A graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, Kansas.
