Dale Leroy Frey, 88, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024.
He was born in Silver Lake, Kansas, on August 18, 1935, to Roy and Ethel (Weir) Frey.
Dale graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1953. He worked for 35 plus years at the offices of the Santa Fe Railway where he retired in 1995.
On October 7, 1954, Dale married Dorothy A. Brown in Silver Lake, Kansas, where they settled and raised their daughters.
She preceded him in death October 15, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William "Bill" Frey and sister-in law Betty Frey; and nephews, Robert "Bobby" Frey and Darrell Frey.
Dale is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Fuller, Pam Billings, and Patricia Hemauer; his grandchildren, January Gustafson, Derek Fuller, Jeri Lyn (Dustin) Carpenter, Randi (Gage) Dickerson, Camryn (Marc) Billings, Tyler (Tommy) Billings, Max McDaniel, Val McDaniel, and Delayne McDaniel; his great-grandchildren, Janine (Ethan) Ashley, Jayden Gustafson, Jaxon Gustafson, Ozzy Carrol and Elouise Catron; his great great-grandchild, Joshua Ashley; his sister, Wanda (Walt) Stolle; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 26, 2024 at the Silver Lake United Methodist Church.
