D. Bruce Holt

D. Bruce Holt, 63, of Ozawkie, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at Midland Hospice House. He was born March 9, 1954, in Topeka, the son of Keith and Shirley (Boies) Holt.
Bruce graduated from Topeka West High School and Missouri Valley College. He had worked for the Topeka YMCA for 36 years where he was chief operations director. He Bassmaster of Kansas and the Topeka Bass Club. Bruce won numerous fishing contests and had been Mr. Bass of Kansas. He served as President of the former North Topeka Kiwanis Club and had been a member of the North Topeka Business Alliance.
He was married to Jay Boling for 33 years.
Surviving are his wife, Jay of Ozawkie; mother: Shirley Holt; other immediate family: Susan-Bob Martin, Mike Holt, Cindy Holt-KaLynn , and Riley Holt-Kessler all of Topeka.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Penwell- Gabel Parker- Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604-3720.
