Cynthia G. Ludwig

Cynthia “Cindy” G. Ludwig, age 65, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.  Cindy was born August 13, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of William E. and Velma May (Stewart) Ludwig.  Cindy graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and received her master’s degree from Washburn University in Criminal Justice.  She married Dale E. Zeckser, they later divorced.  She then married John Drain September 2, 1997.  He survives.  Cindy worked for the State of Kansas with court services as a probation officer and later with the Attorney’s General Office with the Medicaid Fraud department.  Cindy enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband, John Drain of Topeka; two sons, Josh (Becky) Zeckser of Portland, OR and Gabe (Ashley) Zeckser of Lawrence; two stepdaughters, Christy (David) Rieschick of Holton, KS, and Jennifer (Keith) Reimer of Texas; a brother, Michael (Janice) Ludwig of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister-in-law, Diane Ludwig of Toronto, KS; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Cindy was preceded in death by a brother, William “Bill” Ludwig, and a granddaughter, Raegan Reimer.

Memorial gathering will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com
