Curtis Smith

Curtis Smith, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on April 7, 2025, at the age of 59 in Topeka, Kansas. Born on June 16, 1965, in Beloit, Kansas, Curtis was a person who touched the hearts of many with his outgoing and caring personality.

Growing up, Curtis attended McLouth High School, where he graduated in 1984. He then went on to build a commendable career working for various organizations including O'Reilly's, Gas N Shop, and Lowes. His dedication and friendly demeanor made him well-liked among colleagues and customers alike.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Curtis was an avid fan of K-State and the Kansas City Chiefs. Sports brought him joy and camaraderie, but it was his loved ones that held the deepest significance in his life. He cherished the moments spent with family during the holidays, creating lasting memories that they will carry in their hearts forever. Curtis was also a devoted pet owner, and his cat, Oscar, brought him great comfort and companionship.

Curtis is survived by his father, Dean (Debbie) Smith; brothers, Brian (Brenda) Smith and Brett (Deborah) Smith; and his nieces, Brianna Smith, Erin Smith, Abby Smith, and Casey Pate; and nephew Sean Eisinger. He was predeceased by his mother, Judy Ann (Hunter) Smith.

A service celebrating Curtis’s life will be held on April 15, 2025, at Parker-Price & Davidson in Topeka, Kansas, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM.

Curtis Smith will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him. His warm spirit and love for family and friends will leave an enduring legacy in the hearts of all who had the privilege to be a part of his life.
