OBITUARY: Connie Sue Tenbrink
Connie Sue Tenbrink, 68, Topeka, died Thurs., Dec. 13, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Topeka, the daughter of Virgil L. and Helen (Lehr) Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Danny Lawrence.
Connie graduated from Topeka High School in 1961. She had worked at Fleming Distribution Center, Capital Abstract, Hartford Insurance Company in Detroit, MI, and Blakely Insurance before becoming a day-care provider in her home for 32 years.
She was married to Kenneth W. Tenbrink on Oct. 26, 1968, in Topeka. Surviving are her husband, Kenny; a daughter: Alisha Wolf; 2 sons: Randy Tenbrink (Kelli) and Todd Tenbrink (Sarah); 6 grandchildren: Kya , Brynn, and Laney Tenbrink, Mason and Jaxon Tenbrink, and Carlin Wolf; and 2 nephews: Barry and Dan Lawrence.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., Dec. 17, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Entombment in Mount Hope Mausoleum, 4700 SW 17th, Topeka. Connie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
