Connie S. (Trent) Looney, 58, of Perry, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at her home.
She was born October 20, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Hardy Alvin and Marjorie Doreen (Henry) Trent. She was a graduate of Washington High School and Bethany School of Nursing, Kansas City, KS. She was employed as a registered nurse at Bethany Medical Hospital, Kansas University Hospital, and Providence St. Margaret Hospital in Kansas City.
She was a former member of West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie, KS and a current member and active choir member of the Perry United Methodist Church, Perry, KS. She was active in the Relay For Life of the American Cancer Society.
Connie married James W. Looney on March 17, 1984 in Tonganoxie, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include Sonja A. Trent of Perry, Joseph W. Timm and his wife, Shawn of Tonganoxie, and Edward R. Looney of Topeka; siblings, Robert Trent of Eudora, KS, Sandy Mercer of Ft. Worth, TX, and Randy Trent of North Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Lindsey Trent, Emily Rader, Colton Timm and Cami Timm.
Mrs. Looney was cremated. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday evening at the Perry United Methodist Church.
