Clyde O. Pasley, 82, of Topeka passed away at Stormont-Vail Hospital on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born August 26, 1935 at Delia, Kansas the son of Thomas and Anna Laura Hanline Pasley. Clyde grew up between Delia and Mayetta, he went to work at the age of 14 to help support his family. He worked for Shawnee County for over 40 years, retiring as a road foreman in 1988.
On June 8, 1956 he married Patricia L. Stewart at his aunt and uncle’s house on North Quincy Street. Patricia survives at their home in Topeka. Other survivors include daughter, Debbie Hufford and husband Randy of Michigan Valley and a son, Stephen M. Pasley of Topeka; sister, Rosylee Rogers and her husband Freddie of Lawrence; grandchildren, Tommy Lister, Dallas Pasley, Rachel Lister, Kayla Pasley, Daniel Hufford (Kasee) and Anne Hufford; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mick Pasley; his parents; two brothers and one sister.
According to his wishes, Clyde was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 17th at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 5821 N.W. Topeka Blvd, Topeka Ks 66617. Private family burial of Mr. Pasley’s ashes will be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Missionary Baptist Church in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
